  • SJSU Student Panel on Global Terrorism
    Monday, Nov. 5th - Noon to 1:30 PM
    SJSU students who participated in the Anti-Terrorism Fellowship along with others will discuss the impacts of Global Terrorism in our local community and strategies to solve the issue.

  • How Terrorism is Impacting our Countries
    Tuesday, Nov. 6th - 7:00 to 9:00 PM
    A panel of Consuls General from around the world, including India and Israel , will address how terrorism is impacting each of their countries and present strategies on counter terrorism. Refreshments will be served.

  • Is SJSU Prepared for a Terrorist Attack?
    Wednesday, Nov. 7th - Noon to 1:30 PM
    The Campus Emergency Response Team at SJSU will explain what terrorism is and how SJSU First Responders are prepared to protect the campus community.

  • Fighting the Ideology of Terrorism with Judea Pearl
    Wednesday, Nov. 7th Lecture - 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Reception - 5:00PM
    Judea Pearl, father of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal journalist who was brutally murdered in 2002 by terrorists in Karachi , Pakistan , will address the ideological issues of terrorism. Judea Pearl is the guest speaker for the Robert E. Levinson Memorial Lecture.

  • Living in a World of Terrorism
    Sunday, Nov. 11th - 1:00PM to 3:30PM
    The Sharone Hadassah Chapter is hosting this lecture by Charlie Kirschner, Deputy Regional Director of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). Refreshments will be served and a tour of the Art Exhibit will be held.

  • Detecting Terror Before it Strikes
    Tuesday, Nov. 13th - 3:00 – 5:00 PM
    Santa Clara County Sheriff Officer Mike Saliba and Laura Young of Pups for Peace will demonstrate the needs in Santa Clara County for explosive sniffing dogs and the training and care of Pups for Peace.

  • How the Muslim Community Has Been Impacted by Global Terrorism
    Tuesday, Nov. 13th - Lecture 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Reception – 5:00PM
    Professor Khaleel Mohammed, of San Diego State University and a core member of San Diego State 's Center for Islamic Studies, will discuss the impact of Global Terrorism on the Islamic world.

  • Responding to Large Scale Mass Casualties
    Wednesday, Nov. 14th 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    Dr. Todd Zalut, Chief of the ER Department of Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem will speak about being on the front lines of terrorist attack response. Because of its stellar reputation and location, Shaare Tzedek treats 40% of those injured in major terrorist attacks in Jerusalem .

  • Understanding Terrorism, Exploring Solutions: SJSU Professors in Conversation
    Thursday, Nov. 15th - 12:00 – 1:15 PM
    A panel of SJSU professors will discuss political solutions for the war on terror, the morality of terror, and civil liberties in a Q&A session.

  • Terrorism & Human Rights
    Thursday, Nov. 15th - 3:00 – 5:00 PM
    Dr. Amos Guiora, an expert in the field of Counter-Terrorism, will close the week with a discussion on the legal aspects of counter-terrorism and respect for human rights under the rule of international law.

  • Passenger number 17
    A moving documentary about the search for the identity of Passenger 17, a victim of a terrorist attack on a public bus. There will be two showings:
      - Wednesday, Nov. 7 th - MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center throughout the day.
      - Tuesday, Nov. 15 th - Hillel of Silicon Valley House - 6:00 to 8:00 PM
